WHAT A HOOT - S1408 : CTMH Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop

Hello and welcome aboard our Stamp of the month Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop. If you have arrived here from Anne, Mummy You Made This? then you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post. This is my first blog hope so I hope you enjoy all the creativity shown by those who have participated.

Today I would like to share with you my Halloween album and a card which features August Stamp of the Month "WHAT A HOOT" - S1408 available exclusively throughout August for $24 or for just $5 when you spend $75.

The Halloween album itself was created by the CTMH Cricut cartridge ARTBOOKING. This was a great cartridge to work with as it had all the matching theme frames that could also be cut out to match the theme of the album.  I then took a different approach with the SOTM - What a Hoot, by creating bats instead of the owl.  These I coloured using the awesome new ShinHan Touch Twin markers and Colourless blending pen. All I can say is WOW I had fun.

As I was having so much fun playing around with the new markers and like to think outside the box I stamped a lot of owl arms and coloured them so I could turn the owl into a rather plump Peacock. One thing I love about the CTMH cardstock is that they have a white core so when you emboss these papers and then sand them they give some awesome texture to a normally flat card.  For the Peacock card I used Embossing folder Honeycomb.

Remember "WHAT A HOOT" is only available until the end of August from your CTMH consultant. I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop, Mandy, Hall of Indulgence.
